Aluminium, steel, glass – what suits your house?
Aluminium is light, low-maintenance and does not rust – the most common choice for patio roofs. Steel allows long spans and slim sections, for carports or balconies for example. For the roofing, the key question is how much light should reach the house. We match colour and profiles to windows, fence and façade – usually anthracite, other colours on request.
Structure, drainage, wall connection
A roof has to carry snow and wind loads safely. We plan posts, foundations and the wall connection to suit the ground and drain rainwater in a controlled way – so nothing runs down the façade and the terrace stays dry.

Do I need a building permit for a patio roof?
That depends on size, location and municipality. In Lower Austria this is governed by the NÖ Bauordnung: some roofs need no permit, others must be notified or approved. Check with your municipality early on – the dimensions and details from our planning will help.
Patio roof or louvred roof – which is better?
A patio roof with fixed roofing protects permanently against rain and, depending on the material, lets in plenty of light. A louvred roof opens and closes – ideal if you want to control shade and airflow. We discuss what suits your terrace's orientation on site.
How long does installation take?
That depends on size, design and ground. We give you the installation date and expected duration with the quote.
